MB Drive JC
How we produce factory-trained Mercedes-Benz technicians ready for your dealership.

Our Mission
The Mercedes-Benz Drive JC program is a one-of-a-kind partnership between Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) and the U.S. Department of Labor. Our graduates earn their factory certification held to the same high standards expected of every Mercedes-Benz employee, and because the program is federally funded, that certification comes at no cost to hiring dealerships, saving the typical ~$14,500 tuition investment.
Over 18 weeks of intensive, specialized training, students master the diagnosis, repair, and replacement of automobile components while resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues. The curriculum also includes an advanced maintenance course designed to address common challenges faced by graduates of other programs, emphasizing best practices in oil changes, tire rotations, brake services, and belt and filter replacements, performed with the speed and precision that minimize downtime and ensure high customer satisfaction.
In the final week of the program, students complete a non-credit maintenance course in the school's shop, putting their training into action on real vehicles, performing Service A's, Service B's, tire rotations, tune-ups, A/C services, alignments, and more. This hands-on experience simulates a dealership environment and is designed to ease the transition so graduates can contribute with confidence from day one.
Graduates earn the title of Qualified System Technician and hold the High Voltage Qualification for PLUG-IN HYBRID Series-Gen 3 (X0015F-US.TT4), enabling them to service hybrid models from day one. This certification represents the first step toward becoming a Mercedes-Benz Master Technician.
A Rigorous Program, Not Just a Curriculum
MB Drive JC goes well beyond the curriculum supplied by Mercedes-Benz USA. We constantly challenge our candidates with thinking exercises and scenario-based problems designed to sharpen critical thinking, technical writing, and communication skills. Physical fitness and endurance are also part of the program demands.
Candidates are held to exceptionally high standards not just in meeting technical objectives, but in soft skills: teamwork, language, mannerisms, and professionalism. Those who cannot consistently meet these expectations do not advance. Not all candidates make it to graduation, and that is by design.
The result is a graduate who has been tested, challenged, and refined over 18 weeks of intensive training, ready to represent your dealership with the professionalism and competence that Mercedes-Benz customers expect.
